Bishop Scott is the founder and senior pastor of Word of Life Ministries, where he has served for over 30 years. Through this church ministry, he has been able to effectively bring people together to initiate and establish various support ministries and community outreach services which impact and promote change in the city of Niagara Falls and the Western New York region. These ministries and community outreach services include a food pantry, two Victory Over Addiction recovery programs, a youth ministry, women’s ministry, prison ministry, and course offerings at Horizon Health Services in Niagara and Erie counties.
He is an apostolic leader who serves as a counselor and adviser to other churches, ministries, and organizations. In addition to his service as Board President of NOAH, Bishop Scott serves on the Western New York Interdenominational Council of Bishops, the Niagara Falls Ministerial Council, and the Board of Directors of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home. He was instrumental in founding Niagara Charter School, the only regional charter school in Niagara County. He has also served on numerous community boards over the years and has received several awards, honors, and recognition for his service to the community. He is a military veteran who served four years in the US Navy with a tour of duty in the combat zone of Vietnam. Bishop Scott is married to Rev. JoAnne Scott, who serves as Associate Pastor at Word of Life Ministries. They have two children and six grandchildren.
