NOAH Annual Awards Ceremony

Every year, NOAH honors leaders in our community for their contributions to making Niagara County a more just and equitable place. We are not able to celebrate with a banquet this year, but we will not let COVID-19 stop us from recognizing greatness! The following leaders will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Thursday, September 17th at 5:30PM on the steps of Niagara Falls City Hall:
Jones-Carroll Outstanding Leader Award: Elizabeth Dixon, case-worker at Heart, Love & Soul and NOAH’s First Vice President
Faith in Action Award: Majors Stephen and Delia Carroll, commanders of the Salvation Army Niagara Falls Corps
Service to Community Award: Niagara Falls Peacemakers
Trailblazer Award: Caroline Wojtaszek, Niagara County’s first female District Attorney and a champion of survivors of domestic and sexual abuse
Youth Trailblazer Award: La’Tysiah Jordan, Niagara Falls High School Class of 2020, Niagara Falls Youth City Council
Labor Champion: Clara Dunn, board member, City of Niagara Falls Development Corporation, Niagara Falls School Board member, and longtime champion of small, POC-owned businesses
Power of Story Award: Joella Norman-Craft, for her powerful truth-telling at a NOAH forum on childcare and economic opportunity
Healthcare Hero Award: Michael Howard, RN, for his service on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic as a nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center
Please join us in congratulating and thanking our amazing awardees for their hard work and dedication to our community! Due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, attendance at the ceremony will be by invitation only. Community members are encouraged to tune in on Facebook to watch the event live.
