Rev. Raymond Allen, Interim Community Organizer

Rev. Raymond Allen is a native of Bainbridge, GA. He relocated to Niagara Falls, NY during the summer of 1977 and has been an active member of the community here ever since. He has served as pastor of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church since 2006.

 

A long-time board member of NOAH and former Vice President (2015-2019), Rev. Allen has graciously stepped down from his board service and stepped up to serve as Interim Community Organizer until a permanent organizer can be found and brought on board. In addition to his many years of experience in social justice organizing, he brings a wealth of knowledge about ministry and the community to this position. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Houghton College and his Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School. He is currently in his final year as a Doctor of Ministry student at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Rev. Allen is also the former President of the Niagara Ministerial Council and serves on the boards of Pinnacle Community Services, the Community Health Center of Niagara, and Heart, Love and Soul.

 

Rev. Allen is married to Rev. Lora Allen and they have four daughters, ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. They will celebrate 40 years of marriage in December.
